Forests

In 2006, a judge ruled that the BLM illegally logged the Mr. Wilson timber sale in 2003. While a bittersweet victory for KS Wild, we hope the BLM will reconsider its penchant for old-growth logging.
Public Lands Campaign
Through
our Public Lands Campaign, KS Wild is the only local organization that
actively monitors every timber sale, grazing allotment, road building
project, fire management plan, recreational development, ORV route
designation, and pesticide use or predator control plan in the central
and northern part of the Klamath-Siskiyou bioregion.
Old-Growth Protection
KS Wild works with conservation groups throughout the Pacific Northwest to engage the public on the issue
of old growth logging and appeal to policy makers to protect mature and
old growth forests on federal public lands.
Forest Restoration
KS Wild works with a variety of interests to develop scientifically sound forest restoration principles and guide on-the-ground restoration projects.
