Celebrate National Public Lands Day at Eight Dollar Mountain Botanical area helping us restore a sign and a fence for preservation of this important botanical area!

In collaboration with the Rogue Native Plant Partnership, please join us to collect native grass seed at the French Flat Area of Critical Environmental Concern near Cave Junction for use in future habitat restoration work.

This popular hike is an out-and-back route to the Boundary Springs, tucked away in the northern part of Crater Lake National Park, where waters of the Rogue River bursts forth from volcanic soils. Enjoy this moderate 5-mile round-trip hike where the Rogue River feels more like a creek. This is a beautiful trail with a couple of cascading waterfalls and a lush riparian zone set against the backdrop of an intact post-fire forest.

Join KS Wild, Bureau of Land Management and the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument for an invasive weed pull in the Mariposa Preserve. We will continue to clear yellow star thistle and observe wildflowers blooming along the way. There will be an option for gathering for dinner afterwards at a restaurant near the South Ashland exit. This event aims to help repair damage and protect the botanical diversity in this rare serpentine landscape on Memorial Day weekend.

Spend the morning in the Mariposa Preserve cutting and planting Willow branches along a small stream channel for water retention purposes for plants and animals.

This free wildflower walk is geared towards novice and knowledgeable alike. The area is home to many rare and usual plants. This is an easy walk on relatively flat ground with part of the hike wheelchair accessible.

Come join in the exciting group search for flower species that are rare, and in this case need to be documented and samples of seeds stored. Explore your Monument and contribute to science at the same time. All are welcome, beginners and experts alike!
