Printmaking has a rich history intertwined with Activism, Protest Movements, and Political Art due to its ability to produce multiples. The advent of traditional printmaking methods allowed for the dissemination of information, making knowledge of all kinds more accessible.

This show features work created by Southern Oregon University (SOU) printmaking students that communicates issues of individual importance. As bell hooks once said, “The personal is political,” and these prints portray visual representations of personally relevant and potent topics that students believe need more awareness, visibility, and attention.
