Joseph is a teacher in the Illinois Valley. He taught first grade at the local public school for 11 years before founding an outdoor preschool. Now he spends his mornings tromping through the local parks with troops of young children. In the afternoons Joe tutors all ages in all subjects. He enjoys tangling himself in thickets of whitethorn in his quest to find the Kalmiopsis Wilderness boundary.
