Join our Conservation Director, George Sexton, on a five mile hike through towering old-growth forests along the Upper Rogue River in the High Cascades Ranger District. He will lead you through a beautifully in tact forested ecosystem close to the Upper Rogue River where the wildflowers will be blooming and the wildlife will be awakening.
This popular hike is an out-and-back route to the Boundary Springs, tucked away in the northern part of Crater Lake National Park, where waters of the Rogue River bursts forth from volcanic soils. Enjoy this moderate 5-mile round-trip hike where the Rogue River feels more like a creek. This is a beautiful trail with a couple of cascading waterfalls and a lush riparian zone set against the backdrop of an intact post-fire forest.
